Student Athlete Antigen Testing Schedule Change
The weekly antigen testing for Student Athletes at Delton Kellogg High School will now be moved to Monday mornings before school for the remainder of the school year. Last week's first attempt went very well and the amount of disruption was minimal.
We will continue to ask for those kids that can drive, or those kids that have parents that can drop them off early, the doors will be open at 7:15 am at the main office entrance doors, on Monday, May 17th, and we are encouraging as many student athletes as possible to show between the times of 7:15 and 7:30 am to help us avoid kids missing time at the start of their 1st hour class. And please drop your student athlete off in the Aux Gym parking lot and have them walk up the sidewalk into the main office. We need to keep the upper parking lot open for bus traffic when they arrive at school.
Kids being tested will have the opportunity to get their free breakfast in the cafeteria while they wait for their results from the test.
Please keep in mind that those kids that have tested positive and have served their quarantine period, and have supplied the Athletic Office with documentation, no longer have to antigen test weekly for 90 days after their quarantine. Those kids that have been vaccinated, and have provided the Athletic Office with a copy of their immunization card, no longer have to weekly antigen test once their 14 day post shot period is complete.
Those that have had to quarantine for contact tracing, for any length of time, still have to be tested weekly per protocols.
As we wind our Spring seasons down, we wanted to share a special shout out to all parents and student athletes that have done such an awesome job of adjusting schedules, following the protocols that have been handed down and supporting the Athletic Department, our coaches and student athletes during this time that we have all had to experience. Because of your efforts, our kids have had the opportunity to compete throughout this Athletic year as well as gain immeasurable life lessons that, hopefully, they will look back on as a positive experience gained with classmates, teammates and coaches.
Thanks, as always, and Go Panthers!!

Student Athlete Antigen Testing Exceptions
If your student athlete has completed the vaccination process, after 14 days, they will no longer need to take part in the weekly antigen testing at the school. We do, however, need a copy of your student athlete's vaccination card to place in their file.
A student athlete that has tested positive for Covid, after their quarantine period, and after providing a copy of documentation from their doctor, will not need to take part in the antigen testing at school for 90 days.
If you have any questions, please contact the Athletic Office at 269 623-1524. Thanks and Go Panthers!!
