Green Team
Advisor:
The Delton Kellogg Green Team is a student outreach group that develops a yearly goal and works toward accomplishing that goal. The Green Team recycles plastic, metal, and cardboard, works with administration and teachers to develop green habits, and does outreach projects that inform and encourage their peers to conserve and protect our beautiful eighty-acre campus. The Green Team has participated in the construction of the Harry Stolt Nature trail, built birdhouses and bat houses, done native plantings, conducted district-wide Earth Day celebrations, developed and done animal lessons for elementary classrooms, and helped write grants to add solar and wind power to our high school facility. This year's goal is to work with our cafeteria to develop green alternatives to reduce packaging and food waste.
