Mask Mandate Rescinded Starting October 1st
Sept. 30, 2021
The Barry-Eaton District Health Department has just announced that they are rescinding their health order requiring masks for K-12 schools. This goes into effect tomorrow, October 1st. This means that face masks are no longer required within the school buildings, but are still required on school buses.
Based on the low number of COVID cases at Delton Kellogg Schools, the school district will no longer be requiring face masks at this time, but are still strongly recommending them. We will be returning to our safety protocols as we had begun the school year.
We understand your frustration with the change of these requirements and the quickness in which they've been changed. Thank you for everyone's cooperation and understanding as we navigate these difficult times.
As always, thank you for your continued support of Delton Kellogg Schools,
Dr. Kyle Corlett, DKS Superintendent
