Dear Delton Kellogg High School Parents and Guardians,
As we look toward the 2026-2027 school year, we are thrilled to announce a strategic shift in our scheduling process designed to provide your students with a more focused and purposeful path toward their future. My goal is to ensure that every student leaves our halls not just with a diploma, but with a clear trajectory for post-secondary success.
The New Three-Track System
To better serve the diverse interests and career goals of our students, we are moving toward a tiered scheduling model. This year, students will be asked to align their course selections within one of three specialized tracks:
Trades Track: Designed for students interested in skilled labor, engineering, and hands-on vocational careers.
Agriscience Track: Focused on our community’s strong roots in agriculture, environmental science, and natural resources.
Honors Track: Geared toward students seeking a rigorous academic curriculum focused on four-year university preparedness and advanced research.
Important Dates and Next Steps
The scheduling process begins next week with a comprehensive overview for all students. Please mark your calendars for the following timeline:
Monday, February 23 (AEP): All 9th–11th grade students will meet during their Academic Enhancement Period. We will present the new course offerings, explain track expectations, and distribute physical copies of the scheduling guides.
Friday, February 27: Current 11th-grade students make their final course selections.
Tuesday, March 3: Current 10th-grade students make their final course selections.
Wednesday, March 4: Current 9th-grade students make their final course selections.
Late Week Cleanup: Counselors and staff will meet with any students who were absent during their designated time to ensure their schedules are finalized.
Scheduling Resources
We encourage you to review these materials with your student prior to their selection date. You can access the digital versions of our guides here:
We are committed to making this transition as smooth as possible. These tracks are not meant to limit students, but rather to empower them to choose a path that truly resonates with their passions and professional goals.
Thank you for your continued partnership in your child's education.
Go Panthers!
