We had an unfortunate scheduling issue with our opponents for DK's last home soccer match Monday night which was to have been Senior Night for some awesome young ladies playing for the last time on their home turf. The match was canceled along with the Senior Night Celebration. We'd like to take a moment and honor those Panthers, along with their parents, who were not given the chance to enjoy that experience. The girl's track team had an impressive night at Regionals on Friday. DK had four girls make it to the State meet Regional Medalists: High Jump: Maddy Waller (7th) Long Jump: Josie Williams (5th) 4x800 Relay: Elli Timmerman, Lillian Lester, Riley Perley & Jillian Leclercq (6th) 100m Hurdles: Izabelle Gruber (3rd) STATE QUALIFIER! 1600m Run: Kylie Main (5th) 4x100 Relay: Breanna Chandler, Izabelle Gruber, Josie Williams & Summer Ritchie (5th) 400m Dash: Summer Ritchie (5th) 300m Hurdles: Breanna Chandler (1st) REGIONAL CHAMPION & STATE QUALIFIER! 800m Run: Kylie Main (8th) 3200m Run: Elli Timmerman (8th) 4x400 Relay: Breanna Chandler, Kylie Main, Izabelle Gruber, Summer Ritchie (1st) REGIONAL CHAMPIONS AND STATE QUALIFIERS! We look to compete next at the SAC Championship meet on Tuesday, May 21st.

The rain did not stop Delton Softball from honoring past Conference (1988, 1989 & 2023) and District(1988, 1990, 2018, 2019, 2021, & 2023) Champions. Championship Banners were hung on the outfield fence in honor of the teams from 1988, 1989, 1990, 2018,2019, 2021, & 2023. Thank you Coach Lyons for honoring these ladies. We look forward to adding to those banners in the future.

Congratulations to Rhys Bedford on signing his National Letter of Intent to Calvin University. Rhys will be on the Track & Field team for the Knights.

The MHSAA Soccer Districts are upon us and our Panthers will be heading to Hopkins HS on Wednesday, May 22nd for a 4:00 pm tilt vs Parchment High School. The winner of that contest will move on to play Grand Rapids South Christian at 4:00 pm on Wednesday, May 29th. That match will also be played at Hopkins High School. The District #39 Finals will be held on Friday, May 31st at 6:00 pm at Hopkins. The soccer field is directly across the street from Hopkins Middle School on Clark St. in Hopkins. Baseball and Softball Crossover games for this upcoming weekend have still not been decided yet. Sorry for the late notice but due to cancellations and make-up games still being rescheduled and played, the standings in each Division are still up in the air as of this email. The games will be played on Saturday, May 18th at the Valley and Lakeshore Division host schools depending on what place they land after the SAC League schedule. Thanks and Go Panthers!!

On Thursday, May 2, the SAC held its Annual SAC Scholar-Athlete luncheon in Lawton. Delton Kellogg took 15 student-athletes. To qualify for this honor athletes must earn a minimum of 4 Varsity Letters in at least 2 different sports and have a minimum GPA of 3.5. Congratulations to the following student-athletes: Isabella Morey, Samantha O'Meara, Breanna Chandler, Allison Brandli, Rhys Bedford, Madelyn Waller, Lillian Lester, Maelea Martin, Summer Ritchie, Emily Stoneburner, Collin Muskovin, Andrew Diamond, Avery Barker, Samantha Makowski, & Alexis Delaphiano.

The Women's Varsity Track team competed at the Gobles "Lil Guy's" Invite this past Friday. Placing 4th out of 17 schools. Just a heads up for tomorrow's (5/11) JV baseball game at Gull Lake HS. That game has been moved to an 11:00 am start (was 11:30 am). Panther Fans, What a day this has turned out to be as far as rescheduling and cancellations for Tuesday, May 7th. Here is what we have so far: The SAC Conference Track Meet at Gobles has been rescheduled for Tuesday, May 21st with all field events starting at 11:00 am. Running events will start at 12:30 pm. Today's varsity BB and SB games vs Gobles have been rescheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday, May 8th with a 4:30 pm first pitch. The varsity baseball game vs Caledonia on Wednesday has been cancelled. Today's JV BB game vs Schoolcraft has been cancelled. Tomorrow's JV BB game vs Caledonia's Freshman team is still on as scheduled at DK. However, if Caledonia needs to reschedule their league date from today, our JV game with them will be cancelled. Stay tuned on that one. Thanks and Go Panthers!!
